Shave for a Cure is Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand's signature fundraising event, running for 24 years. Shaving is a bold but simple way of helping the Kiwis diagnosed with blood cancer or serious blood condition.
Eight Kiwis - adults and children - are diagnosed each day with blood cancer. There's a good chance that they may lose their hair through chemotherapy because it can harm their hair follicles; this can be a difficult, scary and isolating experience for those undergoing treatment.
But they don't have to go it alone. By committing to ‘Shave for a Cure' or donating at any Farmers store between 2nd - 22nd May 2024 - you show your solidarity for Kiwis living with blood cancer and help us get one step further to our vision for a cure.
The following stores are holding a ‘shave’ event this year.
