The Step Up Sky Tower Stair Challenge is a key fundraising event for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand. Each year business teams from around New Zealand gain sponsorship and compete for time and fundraising awards at Auckland’s Sky Tower.
Farmers staff from as far north in Whangarei and as far south as Waikato enter every year to enjoy the incredible feeling of conquering the 1,103 steps up the Sky Tower, with the knowledge that the months of training, fundraising and camaraderie to make it to the top helps the 6 Kiwis diagnosed with a blood cancer every day.
After weeks of bake sales, silent auctions, sausage sizzles, raffles and bucket shaking, along with vigorous stair training, 5 Farmers teams took on the Step Up Challenge and climbed the 1,103 steps to the top on Friday the 10th August.
Not only did they all master the mammoth task, Farmers teams altogether raised a phenomenal…
…for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand!
A very special thank you to the teams for raising such an incredible amount through their fundraising efforts and of course, to all of the staff, friends and family who donated.
